Default anyone shortened auto shift lever?

I know it is corny, but I hate how long it is, and I know HAPPY DAD was going to do it then I think chose not to, but I think I might try it. mostly for looks, and some what fun.

should be just a matter of removing ***, and metal tube, then cutting tube, and pin a little shorter right?
Any ideas or help would be nice,
I'll even take smart *** comment I guess.

BTW I know it is not like short throw shifter

Add the armrest pad, it raises your arm up 1-2" and makes shifting a lot more comfortable.

Someone did it. I saw a pic of it somewhere in the c4 gallery. I'd like to do the same thing

Maybe get a used shifter stick first and do it to it. If something goes wrong with your good one, well you'd have to buy another anyway. If it works out, do it to the good one, sell the used shortened one on ebay.

Yeah I would use a spare first, but I think it is pretty straight forward. As long as the pin for the button stays long enough for the button to work.
