Started car, turned on AC, car died.....please help
Have a 90 vette coupe....started it up this evening, turned on the ac and the car died. Won't restart either. Any ideas?

Died? Was there any unusual sounds? Did it quit suddenly like you turned the key off or sputter like it ran out of fuel? These answers may help in pointing toward a cause.

When you turn the key to acc (without trying to start) make sure your A/C controller is in the off position. Then try starting. What happens? Do you have power?

Someone will come along and point you to a Fusible link trouble shooting guide for your model.
Some connector somewhere got a little too green under the housing and when you turned on your AC it fried that wire. That wire happens to be the hot wire for some other components......once you know which wire, you can cut out the green stuff and add a new link in there and all will be normal again.
Sorry I am not much help with which wire you should be checking. There are a lot of guys that are a lot smarter than I am that know this stuff.....they may not be lurking on a Sunday evening.

Charge your battery. If bat. gauge is showing 10 amps then sure, a few systems will work but not systems needing 12v. Like ignition ect. Then check your alternators output if charging works. Sometimes a low battery combined with a weak alternator will run a car until system demand causes drops below 12v..then goodnight. Like when you turned on the AC.

DTC#32=EGR system failure. I would say DTC#42 (electronic spark timing) has something to do with it not starting. Refer to your FSM and look up these codes for a complete step to step diagnosis. I had a similar no start problem and looked up the codes on my FSM and after following up on the book by checking wiring and connectors with a voltmeter, narrowed it down to me having a faulty distributor. Car ran fine after I replaced distributor. Good luck.
