The 32 egr code is nothing, My 90 throws that code anytime I cruise for extended periods in 60-75mph range because I have headers.
The 42 est code may in fact be a timing issue to look at after you get it started but it shouldn't cause the starter to just spimng and not catch.
Now lets clear that part up.
So, corvette505, when we say spin we mean you hear starter turning but the engine itself is not rotating as a result. Turn over means the engine itself is rotating with the starter. I think by catch we mean the engine actually fires for a second then dies. Or it can mean the starter spins then catches and begins to turn motor. Regardless, we need clarification.
Does the starter spin and make rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr noise with out spinning motor?.. or is the motor turning over with the starter trying to start making a rrrrrr rrrrrr rrrrrr noise?
The second scenario would mean you can see the pulleys turning and engine moving but it's not firing/starting.
The second scenario would make me more concerned with the est code 42 and make me look at timing marks ect.
The first scenario says you have teeth missing somewhere or bad starter alignment being that zone has already checked starter under load.

Ok, I had a brain fart, I got you mixed up with another starter problem thread I've been working with. You havent had your starter checked by auto zone, it was the other guy.
First make sure your battery is fully charged and let us know what happens then we'll go from there.
Keep in mind that new components fail all the time, if you have replaced all the spark plugs, wires, distributor, coil and all that good stuff, egr, fuel pump, and fuel injectors. You may have a new part failure or a setting, like timing, that has moved.

ok checked the battery, which in only 10 months old and it needed to be charged, however it still wont start
when i turn the key the belts spin, but nothing.....it doesn't sound like it's getting gas but i checked the shraded and it is, and the fuel pump is humming along. new fuel pump by the way
all the fuses are good
ugh, any ideas?

LOL...well there is the old lemme hold this while you turn the key....you'll know real quick
Just pull one of the wires and lay it close to the exhaust mani and have someone crank the engine while you watch, a nice blue spark will emerge pretty soon

OK - You're getting spark. I'll make an assumption you've checked each plug.
Next is fuel. You've got to check for pressure at the fuel rail schraeder valve. If you have fuel pressure, then I would check for pulse at the injectors. This is easiest to do with a noid light.
Last is air which barring a large cat stuffed up in your intake I'm sure you have.
Other than that, from what I've read, she should be firing up.

fuel pump is relatively new too, and wouldn't it try to turn over, wouldn't it try to start and just die if it were the fuel pump....i dont know, just trying to use a little logic, though from my experience with cars logic is only evident half the time.

it seems to be flowing ok TO the fuel filter.....now that i have the fuel filter off it seems the inner filter is clanging around inside. If i shake the fuel filter the inner part moves freely. Is this supposed to happen?
Time for a new filter?

Tell me the part where you did NOT use any silicone sealer anywhere near gasoline....
