87 vert, both lights go up fine. Pass side goes down half way and stops when I turn off light. If I go out and just touch light it snaps down w/o any more problems, no slipping or grinding. From looking at backside of light it looks like it has been rebuilt. I did a search but nothing quite matched this. Thanks

You may be missing like one tooth on one cog in that motor. Tapping it would get it pass that missing tooth.

Also check your clearances on that lights bucket. Could look clear but have a small place it rubs and catches going down.

^^That, or the actual Motor is going south. A rewind and new brushes may help it.
