The wave is on endangered list
I don't know about the rest of you folks, but here in southcentral PA the wave appears to be dead. I am disappointed at the number of non-wavers I see. I would say less than half of corvette owners in this area actually acknowledge each other. No surprise, of course, most are C5's & C6's.
I continue to wave even if I don't get one in return. Endangered maybe...but not extinct.

I gave up on the corvette wave along time ago. Im a biker anyway. Bikers always wave. Watch when 2 bikers pass each other they always wave. No matter what kind of bike. JMO.................

I'm about ready to give up on waving here in south carolina.A third of 'vette drivers ignore my wave, another third just stare, and the rest of them go by so fast that there's no way they'd see a wave

I usually get a wave back if I stick my arm out the window or if the top is off straight up. Inside through the windshield almost never. I think the C5-6 drivers don't remember what a C4 looks like.

Hey Wyman,
I hear you.
When I'm driving my '55 buick,I get all kinds of waves, thumbs up,and envious stares. If I'm parked, sometimes I have to give a class on what it is before I'm allowed to get in and cruise.

Around here, I always get the corvette wave, but almost never on the bike. 5 years ago when i started riding everyone waved, but not anymore. I ride a Honda Interceptor which is an obvious non-Harley, so I don't bother waving anymore unless it is a sportbike. But if waved to, I always wave back.

I'll wave at anything from an Electra Glide to a Vespa. We're all one big family. Out here, 98% of all bikes wave. Nobody seems real concerned with what you ride. Hell, I ride a Shadow...but if I hit the lottery any time soon, there is a Victory Vegas 8 Ball down at the local dealer that sure wants to follow me home....

Most Vettes I drive near give a wave (generation doesn't matter).
I also get waves from non-Vettes too and always wave back.
Of course I wave at lots of people as it seems we have pretty friendly people in our area. "Toot" of the horn and a wave or thumbs up always makes me smile.
Sorry to hear your area isn't as friendly as it could be........ All the more reason to NOT give up the wave.

I rarely see a another vette when I am in mine, but if I am driving my Durango they seem to be everywhere. I have had a few "waves", really nods but I consider that to be similar to a wave.

Over here in Vancouver, C4 drivers wave to me and I wave back.
Most drivers of C4s here, appear to be 50 or older. I find the younger guys in the C5 and up Vettes don't believe in the wave etikett. And I bet they never heard of the show Routee 66!
Interesting how certain interest groups have their own nods or waves.
When I ride my road bike, all roadies do the left hand wave or the nod.
Today I had an offer on my vert by a couple in their late fifties or early sixties. What a tough decision as the offer was pretty good. In the end I declined the offer and opted for more top down driving. Maybe I'll reconsider next year and sell, only to look for another C4.
