^^WOW!! someone remembered my post about the drain hole!!

But the OP was looking for the heavier gear lube for the Super T10 tranny box.

OP, I'm not 100% positive, but you'll have to buy the pump to get the oil in there........at the auto parts stores they sell a pump that fits the large Gallon jug of oil.....you have to buy that large jug.

Once you are set up and have the car up on jack stands level......don't listen to how much "should" fit in there. Just open the fill hole, start pumping until the oil spills back out the fill hole. Then you'll know you have enough.

If I remember correct, it starts to drain out just before 2 quarts anyways.

^^you may be correct. My point was to try to keep folks from "guessing" what should be there and just fill it up....whatever that number should be.

Just two weeks ago I was refilling my O/D......I had a 3/4 quart lying around here and I bought another quart.....So pump them into the O/D and it never dribbles back out...not even after a 1 3/4 quarts......

....I ran off to Kragen and bought another quart....crawled back under there at 9:45 pm and started pumping more into it.......just one pump and it started dribble out. So I was about an ounce shy of filling that thing.

Point was, I wasn't going to listen.....I wanted to make sure that damn thing was full with my own eyes.

Same thing with the engine oil and the Dipstick. 4.5 quarts...5 quarts....who counts....Fill it up until the dipstick (jimmy) says it is full.

Another tip. Be careful when you are using a pump (and the only way to do it is with a pump). If you pump too fast it will come out like it is full because the oil needs a little bit of time to flow into the trans. Once the oil comes out give it a few seconds and then continue to pump. The last time I filled mine I got the false top at least a dozen times, so just keep pumping. It should take a little less than 2 quarts.

if you go buy two quarts of gear oil, I'll shoot you.

trying to pump just from the quart is a pain. You need to big jug.......must have extra jugs lying around in the garage or...or...or it's just no right....

When I crawled under there, I did the 4 speed, the over drive, and the rear axle so I knew it was all good !

I bought 2 quarts of synthetic gear oil, and squeezed the bottles till it flowed out.
That's how ya do it without spending needlessly.

^^How did you "squeeze" them in??

I'll have to look....oh wait...did you buy those long skinny bottles?? I guess those could work.
