Default its hot... 110 degrees and going up

anybody got an idea of how much power I'm losing at 110 degrees outside?
The car starts and runs ok, but I can tell it's down on power.
My guess is the outside temp is causing it. It has 146,000, and in cooler weather, it just runs stronger. I hate to abuse it when the temp is so high.
The water temp is 100 degrees over ambient, so it's not overheating.
118 around town in stop and go traffic.
I wonder if it's running lean, I had it smogged today, and it passed great.
Hydrocarbons per mile allowed: 1.6 mine was 0.24
carbon monoxide per mile allowed: 15.0 mine was 4.75
NOX per mile allowed: 2.50 mine was 1.15

The last oxygen sensor was about 4 years ago.
Course it still has the precats and original cat, but has a cat back walker Y pipe with a balance tube, and pacesetter mufflers.
It's an 86 short block with flat top pistons with 4 valve reliefs and 124 heads. (58cc chambers) .028 down in the hole. .040 head gaskets. heads milled .008
adjusable fpr, K&N, descreened MAF, remote located MAT, Throttle body bypass, EGR is hooked up, 2:56 rear with 29 inch tires
Just a nice lil stocker.
I wonder if a cooler plug might help....

MSL altitude of the PHX airport is 1135 FT. At 110 deg, Barometer 29.78, DP 51, your density altitude is 4639 for a change of 3504.

Your horsepower is down 8 to 10 % versus Sea Level

I live in Phx also and have learned just don't drive during the heat of the day, my 91 doesn't heat up but I would rather not take the chance although I am driveing it to Venice Beach this comeing weekend.

letsee, since it only has 235, I'm losing 25 HP and probably 35 FT lbs torque.

it's either the corvette or the 57 with no air. I'm saving the C5 for road trips since the wife doesn't like the C4

Weekend before last I came down the central valley from home to LA - I hit temps of 116 - at least so the digital gauge said and it's usually pretty close. I've never seen it that hot. The car did pretty well with the A/C on as long as I was moving, but I had to stop for 2 wildfires and as soon as I did the temp started going up, so it was back to the armstrong air conditioning. Once I got to an outside temp below 95 it didn't seem to matter. Not bad for a 13 year old car, considering...

It didn't ever seem to lack for power, but then I wasn't racing either.
