It started on fire in the garage after I got home from work.

The firemen tore off the garage door, and hooked a winch to the car and dragged it out of the garage while it was still flaming. I missed all the excitement because the ambulance had a very small window and a bad viewing angle.

Nothing much. I just used the black camaro valve covers instead of the cheap looking 92 covers. The headers help as well as getting rid of all the emissions controls. Tonight there will be a bright shiny 52mm Holley TB on there ;) Oh, just ignore the tie-wrap wire looms.

Anybody know any good tips on cleaning an engine bay? Mine's not very clean, it hasn't been run much but it did gather a good bit of dirt from sitting in the previous owner's yard most of its life. Only 17k miles and a dirty engine compartment, any tips on cleaning it up?

State Farm's autopsy indicated the "official" cause of the fire started because of a "defect in factory wiring" on the drivers side of the engine compartment.

Opinions:

Any wider tire on the back and they will stick out. Get the 285 tire, not the 315... or invest in some GS fender lips if you want 315's. Also, make sure they use TAPE weights on the inside of the wheels, not metal weights on the outside. These wheels are NOT clear coated. They are pure aluminum, and require the necessary efforts. No road salt, no harmful chemicals on the wheels. You'll want to polish them a few times a year to bring back the shine!
