Drove a new Callaway this weekend!
For those of you in the Kansas City area, if you didn't go to the Superior corvette show, you missed out. Reeves (SP?) Callaway was there, so they were featuring the brand new callaway and letting everyone test drive them. We didn't just tour either, the guy actually let you "drive" them. It was probably the single best piece of engineering that I have ever driven. Everything was absolutely smooth....acceleration, handling, braking, power band.....amazing. It made my old c4 feel extremely slow afterward. Anyways, I just wanted to share because, for me, that was probably a once in a lifetime experience.

yeah, superior is one of their certified callaway dealerships (or something like that)
I guess they also hold the record for selling the most corvettes (at least around here) so it made sense that we had the show there. It was a beautiful car. The power is so smooth that its almost deceiving.
They had the new z06's out there for us too, but I didn't want to take advantage of them, so I didn't drive one. Should have.
Mr. Callaway said that this year they are taking a z06 out and making it a callaway. Should have 685 horse power Can't imagine driving that one. They are also making a grand sport for 2010 that will look a lot like the current zo6. Should be some pretty neat cars.

Check out this one for pictures. Reeves was here in the PNW a few weeks ago and signed a half dozen of "his" cars

sorry about the link breaking. ITs back up now.
BTW....that wasn't a picture of Reeves!
Just kidding. That would be pretty cool to have a signed callaway! Wonder if it would be worth more. Also, I saw that grandsport link earlier. I am looking forward to posted pics.
