over on the C6 general discussion forum there is a hot thread about a new 2010 Grandsport option coming out... has anyone here heard any rumors about that??

Sounds like a stick on mod package. Years down the road people will call it rare and "special".

NO, this is the new Competition Sport Package that is coming for the late 09 models. It appears to be a grouping of specific options (such as Z51 suspension, NPP exhaust, etc.) plus the new vinyl graphics package.

I guess if GM makes a GS again, it will keep the grand sport registry pretty busy, they will have to design web content and track ownership of a whole new car. But if corvette sales continue to be slow with the recession, that could be exactly what the General needs to boost interest.
