Default Outer Door Window Seals

hey guys just wondering about those seals that are on the outside of my doors on the windows. whenever they are wet and i slide that window down and then roll it back up the water just sheets and i know it'll dry and leave those crappy water spots. anyway to stop that? its annoying to have to clean your windows every few days. heck even after a wash if i slide the windows down they get caked in water thats still sitting on those seals. or should i just rainx my side windows and it should help?

Don't roll the windows down  Sorry, you can see how this topic is going.
John is right. There are people who use a leaf blower on their car after washing it. I've never done it, but the ones that do swear by it.
When my car was a daily driver, which it isn't anymore, I would wipe the windows with a cotton towel.

If you will pardon a bit of sanity (joke). Those seals, commonly called "dew wipes" act like a windshield wiper and wipe water off the glass channeling it down the outside of the door. This keeps the water from finding its way inside the door where it can do all sorts of damage. Rubber hardens with age and not only quits wiping away water it can get hard enough to scratch the glass. Suggest you check the condition of your dew wipes. It may be time for a change.

get one of those rubber squeegies( how ever you spell it) you use to dry the car. you can get them from ecklers or mid america or anywhere. i use one when its cold before i dry the car, it gets 75% of the water off. i have used a leaf blower before to get the water out of the mirrors and stuff. you can also replace the outer sills but the new ones leave water too.

Ecklers calls it a seal. Page 325 of the Spring/Summer cat. PN 26358/59 getyou left and right at $34.99 per side. I got mine from the local Chevy store for about the same price or maybe a bit less. I did not check TLD. You may do better there or at the forum's Corvette Mall. If you need help shoot me an e-mail.
