Default Early C4 wheels are still cool

Does anyone but me like the looks of the early (84-86) C4 stock wheels? I have an immaculate original set on mine and realize they are not the classiest wheels but I think they still look great. I do like all the custom wheels and replicas but I think mine still say "Corvette". They just fit the era mine was built the same as the C1, C2, and C3 before mine. Any others with me on this?

i think the early C4 wheels are simply hideous. a vast majority of corvette owners would agree.

What are those ^?

Those aren't the early style like mine, they are different, the spokes are thicker...

Here is a photo of '87 Stock Wheels. I personally think the stock wheels look better than aftermarket. Aftermarkets are on a lot of other types of cars. These are definitely "vette".

the 17" wheels were optional or included with Z52 or Z51 for 88

I like the 86 wheels because they didn't have the black paint on them. My biggest complaint is the "ducts" aren't easy to clean. I have since discovered Simple Green's new "automotive" degreaser, which doesn't attack aluminum. It does, however, attack brake dust. If the build up doesn't get too bad, its easy to keep them clean. My second biggest complaint is few people seem to be interested in making tires for the early wheels. I think they look good on the cars. The wheels have an 80's look to them. To upgrade to the new c6 wheels would be like sticking c4 wheels on a c1.

I absolutely hated the stock (85 wheels) on my car when I bought it back in 2001.....

They were the first things to go...they still reside stored away in my basement after 7 years and counting..they look better stacked on top of each other than on my Vette

I agree. I even got a second set of 1990's wheels and I think I am going to paint the face gloss black and polish the outer rim. I think that would look pretty sick on my polo vette.
