It is a real pain to remove. Fat boys like me find it easier to remove the passenger seat first. The first time I took mine out took me a couple of hours. Now I can remove it in 15 minutes after the seat is out.
Anyway, the antenna is plugged into that box.

Your radio in the dash is just a head unit. The real receiver is call the CDM unit and is located under the kickplate on the passenger side. It is a rectangular box and should be silver in color.

The box is not under the seat. It is behind the removable panel under the dash on the passenger side. Sometimes referred to as the kickplate or hushplate. You must look under the dash to find it. You cannot access it through the front of the dash. But you might be able to see it by removing the passenger side vents. Lots of fun..........
I would think that the 92 is the same as the 90 or 91 but not sure.
Start by taking the seat out............
