Isn't your C4 already hard enough to get out of? I've seen it done and if it's something you like, go for it. It just seems like something else to wear out and break to me though.

The vette shop I go to has installed them on Both C5's and C6's. They both have a proper spot to bolt the lambo door's hinges to. The C4's he won't touch. He said they'd most likely crack the fiberglass they attach to within a year or two unless it's an absolute garage/trailer queen. He can't guarantee his work so he won't install them on C4's. Personally I don't think it looks even remotely attractive anyway.

I sat in one at Carlisle last year. For someone that 6'4", its a real pita to manuever your legs around, then over the sill. Grabbing the handle to yank on the heavy door sucks too. Plus, someone said that if the beast rolls on its roof, your screwed. Just my .02

doin it, maybe
trying to catch a real lambo to see, all the conversion kits open the doors a bit in horizontal oem style to clear window trim before swinging up, doubling pieces/weight over oem, causes "falling over" appearance in raised position...kits all pivot the up swing in "wrong" place with result that the door ends up covering leg travel portion of body opening, entry/exit are highly restricted (admitted in frank dicussion by several kit owners)...kits provide poor single pivot point support of the opened door, particularly in raised position, may be easily damaged by side forces of wind gust or personal contact.
have a prototype "lambie" door on my current c4 project that has no side swing and the "up" pivot point set to remove the door almost entirely from the entry/exit traffic lane , uses a guide channel to improve stability while open, but it will not fit a stock c4 due to hood interferance... prototype's lighter weight than oem is of great interest, might be too "ricey" tho
