Anyone have a C4 rat rod?

Melting Slicks
The guys with the 500HP SBC actually have a better all around car I would bet. All of the accessories run and the balance is better.
I will admit that for a 450HP/520TQ motor the big block is quite well behaved compared to the same power SBC.

Everyone who just bashed that idea needs to admit that if they saw that car driving down the road or parked at a show they would be staring at it! I think that looks way cool and DIFFERENT. Dont forget people also thought kids in the 60's were crazy for straight axles and tunnel rams. Now look at us. Most think that they are totally cool. The C4 really needs to be looked at with creativity.

OK, 84 that is mechanically sound but rough lookin for about 3K. Paint it with black primer in the garage and get one of those do it yourself flame painting kits. Dye the carpet so it looks better and get some of the seat covers that lots of C4 folks have. Do a cheap rebuild on the motor and throw on a set of aftermarket heads, cam, intake and a carb. Add chrome rims and baby moons and weld in straight pipes for the mufflers. Probably have 6k into it and use it for a cruiser and a burnout rig. Gotta have skulls included somewhere too.
Might be kinda fun!

Wow - that's an old post. I had forgotten about it. There is some real creativity still out there!
I ended up going traditional and just bought a Steel Blue 91 from the original owner. The only visible mods to the outside will be the 03 Anniversary wheels I bought for it and stainless steel rear C O R V E T T E letters.
Flying to NC on Dec 12 and driving her home to Michigan. So far the weekend forecast for that area is 50 degrees and rain and upper 30s and dry for lower Michigan. I will post some pics when I get the wheels on and get the car buffed out (paint is a little dull).
Rat Rod woulda been different though.
