Default For the garage Queens

Those of you that do not drive very often, did you ever run into a problem with the ethanol content of fuel these days?

I came to understand that it can oxodize faster and doesnt last as long in your tank, was curious if this is true and how you deal with it if it is.

Thanks

I never heard of that. Put some Sta-Bil in your tank.

I do know for a fact on my daily driver (not Vette)..my milage has gone down about 3 miles per gallon with this ethenol crap, I will be glad when summer is over and the petro companies switch back to regular gas without ethenol.

I drive about 1000 miles/year during May to Oct.

Car sits in a remote garage for the remainder of time.
For the past 6 years, I've added nothing to the 1/2 tank of gas
when I store the car.

S.E. Wisconsin is mandated by the EPA to use 10% Ethanol in the gas.
No problems so far.

I think ethanol is here to stay. Use Sta-bil or just drive more!

Looks like Texas is where it's at! You guys have good pay, plus your money goes farther in the real estate market! As well as I think I heard there's the most blondes there. (whether they are real or not!)

The 2005 energy bill requires ever increasing amounts of biofuel to be included in gasoline sold. So don't expect ethanol to go away after the summer.
