96 Vert. Currently the mirror is hanging by it's cord. It looks like it will just pop back onto the ball-hitch looking **** but what is the best method?

Pressure pushing until it pops back on???? or breaks?????

It should just pop back onto the trunnion, unless something is broken.

I thought you meant you had knocked the whole mirror off, in which case I was going to ask why you let my wife drive your car (she has knocked 5 of them off of various vehicles).

That happened to me, I eventually bought a new mirror.
I couldn't keep it in place, the ball had no friction.
