Convertible top removal
I'm going to re-carpet my 88 convertible. In order to make the job a little easier, as well as give me more space for toting my daughter's softball gear this summer, I am thinking of removing the top for a few months. Does anyone have any suggestions for removing the large torx bolts that attach the top mechanism to the body? I can't see any way to get a large (appx 1/4 inch) torx bit in there.

If I recall, you don't have to remove the Torx bolt, unbolt the plate the Torx bolts into and the whole top will come right out.
I'm going by memory from when I redid the top 2 years ago, so don't slam me if I'm wrong. Sucks getting old!!
