Default Buying Advice on a '95 w/70K

What do you think is a fair price for a 1995 coupe, (6spd) with 70K miles? The seller is asking $13k. The car is clean and doesn't appear to be abused.

In january, I paid 9800 for a 95 with 60K, not mint, but very nice. It is an auto not a 6 speed, but sounds similar otherwise. I don't think I stole it or anything, so 13k sounds a little high.

If the paint is real good that is a fair price. Paint work is very expensive so if you fet a car with nice paint, its like money in the bank. A $10000 C4 can end up a $15000 C4, if you have it painted with all that goes with that.

Depending on your budget, I think you could buy a '95 with lower mileage for a little more or the same year and mileage for less! Really take your time and look around. There's some great deals to be had out there... Don't compromise!

Yeah....you may be able to find a better deal if ya look around and aren't in a hurry.

On the other hand, if it's in pretty good shape, pull the trigger!

You'll be driving a Corvette this summer!

Depending on where you live, you can expect to pay more for a Vette in May than in January, though.

I got my 94 in December for $10,800. 77k. That was even from a Toyota dealership which would have probably been higher than had I bought from an individual. My car was the only one I could find that didn't really need any work other than very minor cosmetic stuff. Mine isn't mint, but it is 100% bone stock which was important to me. The paint is fair IMO for a 14 year old car-there are a few scratches here and there. The outer lenses on the turnsignals are clouded and cracked. The usual stuff for a C4.

I found C4 shopping difficult in Texas. That was about as good as I could find. Pickings were slim, even looking all over the state of Texas. But you know how things go... You buy one for 13K after looking for months for a better deal. The moment you buy it, better deals than you just got are everywhere.

Mine is Polo Green. In hindsight, I am happy with my purchase, but I wish I could have found a different color.

For $13k, you should be able to find a nice '96 LT4 with under 75k miles.

I say keep looking if you want to spend 13, but closer to $11k for the '95.

If you want a clean, low milage, no sun fade Vette look in salt country(NE) where Vettes are used for Sunday drivers 6 months a year.

Cool finally can help someone. I've looked at about 50 different vetts in the past year and a 1/2 and I just bought a 95 with 55k 2 owners and and everything working for only 10,700 this January so I’d keep looking if I was you.

Having put 50K on my 95 in the past 3 years that I've owned the car I would say that that is not a bad price at all for a car in nice condition.

Default 95 Prices

$13,000 sound a little high. I bought my 95 automatic, convertible in November of 2005 for $11,500. It had 45,000 miles and was, and is, in great condition. I've put over 40,000 miles on it since then and have loved every mile. It's a great car!

In Feb. of this year I paid 17k for mine because it was what I was looking for to a T. So I had to overpay to get what I wanted. 96 Black vert,6 speed,LT4 with 52k miles almost mint shape.
