What's the best window cleaner?
I've used windex for years, but either I have a bad batch or they changed the formula. I find it too soapy. How bout it? :mad :chevy

I've always used windex, but I notice that my wipers chatter a lot after I use it. I thought about trying some of that "invisible glass" stuff.

I use that Armor All window cleaner & b/w newspaper (not the color pages). That has been the best at getting the hazy build-up off the inside of the windshield.
Next tip, I've also switched over to using Murphy's Oil Soap on the interior. That seems to work much better than the various "automotive" interior cleaners.

I use the Armor all cleaner also along with terry cloth towels... if you have tinted windows, you need to make sure what you use is safe on them.

I know this is going to sound  but I always go over mine with a dry terry bonnent on my small random orbital buffer after cleaning them. It removes any streaks on the glass.

I skeet a 50/50 vinegar & water solution on the glass surfaces then polish with a newspaper. Works great for me! :)

dont even need that much, 1 capfull of vineger in a bottle of tap water is plenty and the newspaper. Nothing works better or is cheaper. Thats an old old trick from professional car shows.

I think Windex is the worst by itself. I use windex spray, wipe with a damp cotton towel and finish with a dry diaper.

Re: What's the best window cleaner? (red-y)
A friend who's a fanatical show car nut turned me onto Glass Plus and the B&W pages of the daily newspaper. Works great, no streaks whatsoever. Stay away from Windex, it has ammonia in it.
