The car is a 96 LT1 coupe. Does anyone know where I can buy a new fuel gauge sender. It is the small plastic unit that has very small windings in it and naturally mounts in the gas tank. This item has been discontinued by GM and I have been unable to locate another one. It measures about 2" x 3/8" x 1". I have seen them as a complete unit (filler neck, pump bracket, wireing etc. and are very expensive.

That's by far the best price on a fuel tree....most are $400.. will hip pocket this one. Think I might pop for one. And no jereo96..parts not available except the pump,sock & pulse damper.

You could try ebay or the salvage yards like vette2vette. The link I gave you is also a salvage yard.

When my sender wasn't accurate I cleaned the pointer that contacts the windings and it now works fine.
