C4
I pulled into my GM dealorship yesterday and parked my C4 next to a red C6 that they were showing off to sell. The crew was really impressed with my C4 and to be honest, it looked newer than the C6 and all eyes were on it rather than the C6. I even thought that no way would I trade my C4 for the C6. I bet the sales manager was happy when I and my C4 left...

I was at a dyno day event over the weekend. I was inside watching the dyno runs, when I came out there was a small group around my '93...Mine was one of only three C4s at this sho/event...Most where C5s and C6s.
I figured either they hadn't seen a C4 in a while or they were curious as to my mods (hood was up)
I did get some comments from some guys saying that they had previously owned a C4 and mine was a nice one.
I'm also guessing some may have thought "Hmmm this C4 is nice, they are pretty cheap now..maybe I could add one to the stable"
But I serioulsly doubt they where thinking they would rather have a C4 than their newer generation..

Makes two of us I guess, I think the C4 looks better then the C5 or the C6. It has such a cleaner design. I know they cut through the wind better and are better "cars" doesn't really seem to change the "it needs to grow on me" feel. The C4/C3 designs were instant love for me.

Wider is better...
I would have traded my '95/LT1 for a C6; no question (I love 'em both). But, I would NOT trade my "new" "Z" for a C6.
I know a gent that owns both a Z and a C6. His C6 is his DD, and his Z resides in the gargage and gets all the "bling" things. (According to "Bob", the difference is the LT5, which has to be experienced to be believed! )
Looks wise, the C4 is hard to beat - especially that clamshell hood. I really like the C6 body as well, and the C5 from the front isn't bad. (I just never warmed up to the C5 butt...Great cars, the C5, don't get me wrong. It is just a personal preference as far as looks go, I recon.)

C4 that is paid for, and money aside to fix anything that needs fixed, or
C6 and large monthly payments, hi insurance, hi taxes. ????
I thimk I like my C4 better! Actually I might be nuts, but I do like the
C4 design better, even if it is somewhat 'dated'. But that is purely a personal decision.

Actually, I purchased a new C6 when they first came out. My C4 is far more reliable. It was a real lemon that GM bought back. The C4 isn't nearly as fast but feels more like a sports car and will actually start. I can even open the door with a key. After 3 batteries, replacing every computer and the car was still a POS I am thrilled to be back in a C4

The Z is 3" wider still...

The C4 looks and feels like a Corvette. The newer Corvettes might feel like a Corvette, with more power, but look like many other foreign cars out there today. It is difficult to see the difference. No winks, no clamshell hood, no defined classic lines, no digital dash........Personally, I much prefer my C4 to the C6 in looks and reliability.
