I live in the country, had vette parked outside and have not drove it too much! Have 16 3/4 acres and the damn animals are taking over the vette. Any way to keep them out, damn thing is missing and runs like crap. Have a car port and cant figure out what to do!

You better call some pest control outfit and see if they have any suggestions.
I will tell you one thing though, mice and other little rodents like to chew up insulation on wiring and could cause you a lot of grief. They could make your car an electrical nightmare.

I have heard that the dryer sheets like BOUNCE if placed in the engine compartment keep those criters out. Since it is outside with lots of airflow, I would replace them often.

Get a snake. Its presence will scare the crap out of them. Screw it, let the snake loose

Same deal here...
...living in the country, that is.
I have a covered garage, but it is not impervious to mice by any means. Making a long story short, 5 years ago I had 100s (1000s?) of em in the machine shed, house, and garage one fall. (I was getting nowhere with traps and Decon I was getting disparate!) A feed store owner put me onto this stuff called "One Bite" that I get at farm supply stores. In comparision, it makes Decon look like candy!! The stuff really works - especially in outdoor situations.
I spread pieces of the stuff around the garage where my dogs can't get at it (but mice/rats can). Depending on how many mice you have, you might have to replenish the "supply" after 3-4 days, but I doubt you will go thru 1/2 of the second package before feeding "stops".
Inside the Vettes I used Bounce dryer sheets and replaced them every 2-3 weeks. And, as insurance, I put a bait under the seats of the Vettes as well...just in case some mouse or two got hungry.
The One Bite was incredible!! It was like the "Pide Piper"(sp?) had come by - the buggers disappeared almost completely! The Bounce was not 100% effective - I still had a couple mice that took up residence...at least until they nibbled on the "poison apple" I left for those few that got past the first wall of defense.
This year I experimented with Peppermint oil I got in the cooking section of the grocery store. I put some on cotton ***** and placed them under the seats and under the hood. Not only does it smell nice, but this year I had no sign of mice - a vast improvement, I can assure you!
I hate cats (indoors)...so cats are out of the question.
FWIW,
P.
