Flame Ball
I have a Flame Ball shifter **** that I bought for my GS but never installed. The GS is gone and I want to use it on a C5. Does anyone know if the threads are the same for the '96 C4 and the '04 C5?

BOTH my 89 and my 90 have OEM C5 shift ***** in them on the ZF6. Both have hurst shifters, but the C4 **** works on them too.
So GSJimbo, to answer YOUR question YES they are interchangeable

I have a C5 **** with metal threads and it doesn't fit.
EDIT: JUst check hurst-shifters.com and it appears C4 and C5 have a thread size of 9/16-18.. I'll try my C5 **** again but I know it didn't fit and the threads aren't damaged.

C4/C5 Applicability
I just got this from the manufacturer:
If they screw off they are the same. In 2006 they started to make the shift levers with no threads. If you have this style you will have to get a spline mounted **** to fit.
