Default what a Surreal day.. Said goodbye to my 89

I got a call at 11:30, Someone was looking at my 89 where it was on consignment.. Answered questions for him and he would call back

He called 10 min later, said my 89 was smoking bad and was asking what was wrong. it was lunch for me and I was close so I drove over to the dealer.. looks like something was on the top of the lower boot of the Trans, I thought trans oil but might have been from the detailer.. it was nothing like the guy thought.. Took him for a drive, first time I drove the car since April (and Last).. Gave it a good blast down the the road then he drove it..

We came back to the dealership, we negotiated and I sold it.

I bought he car on 9-14-93 and sold it just over 15 years later, I cannot believe I owned that 89 for 15 years. The new owner is not the computer forum type, so not sure if i will see the car again, which might be a good thing. none-the less

Here is to my 89

But on the flip side..

I have my 90 ZR-1 as the replacement and new project

Wow, sale of an 89 and purchase of a black 90 Z.
Remember starting a thread just like yours long ago.

Enjoy.

It's sad to see a longtime car go. I had an '89 Formula 350 that I owned for 11 years. Put alot of time, money and ,memories into it. It was time to let it go.

I grew up in Bartlett and lived there again from 8/99-8/03. I don't ever remember seeing your car on the road?

Heh heh... I grew up in the second house down from Stearns rd on Prospect. The back of the house faces Centennial. I remember hearing nothing but trucks and beeping for about a year while they built it.

I've always loved that White Vette!

I would of scooped it up in a second if I didn't own mine.

Have had my 1989 14 years! Starting to think 2-89's aren't necessary, just hate to part with a comfortable friend!

That 89' is pure genius! It is flawless from the pics. I could never part with a car that beautiful and with that much work put into it. You are a better man than me. Glad it found a new home where it can be driven more and seen on the road.
