All Turquoise Metalic 1990-1991 owners [Regestry]
Every owner I ever met that owned a code 42 Turquoise metalic Corvette has told me the color was one major reasons they purchased their corvette. So lets start a online regestry here of all 1990-1991 Turquiose Met. Corvettes. there were 1621 code42 vettes built in 1991. 1118 coupes 503 converibles. it is a rare color. The color started in 1990,when GM did up Indy 500 Parade[festival] corvettes for the may race. Color was carried over into 1991. If you can post your Year....#vin...where car is today...mileage?...we can perhaps find where most are.......I will go first 1991 #1G1YY2389M5118056 [one of last 91s built] car is in South new jersey, 61123 orig.miles. Car was sold new at Kerbecks in Atlantic City NJ thanks Ed

Our '91 was purchased near the end of the model year and was one of the last 3 available between San Diego and Santa Barbara in this color. We are in the Santa Ana, CA area. We bought the car new for my wife. We had four Vettes at the time and all were sticks that she couldn't drive.
Wife HAD to have this color with black interior. Car is a coupe with every available option with the automatic tranny. Car has ~70K miles and was purchased from Guarentee Chevrolet in Santa Ana, CA. We actually got a pretty good price at the time ~$36K out the door. (Sticker was a hair under $40K.) #110827
BTW, Steel City Grey was even rarer than Turquoise Metallic, though it doesn't have the following (primarily women who love the turquoise color). (My wife and I used to work at same place and the owner of the company always used to tease me about driving a "woman's color" car. He drove a red ZR-1.)
BTW, with respect to future collector status, it's the color that will eventually make these collectable.
We have Boyd Wheels, stock wheels (with stock tires), and a set of '89 wheels with autocross tires.
My wife and I used to race this car extensively back when it was under warrantee. Autocross was very hard on the FX-3 and was fixed several times under warrantee. We have a whole room full of trophies gathered in this car.
She took her class at the Phoenix event bracket racing 5 years in a row, top woman twice, King of the Hill (beat the top man) once, and overall competitor (best of 5 events) once. She also took overall competitor at the National WSCC convention once (best of 5 events).
The included pic is from Vette Magazine and was taken at the "50 Years of Corvette" held at Downtown Disney where we represented the '91 model year. (I put the stock wheels/tires on for this, but they don't show in the pic.)
