Default The vette is fixed

Some of you may remeber that about a month ago I was hit in a parking lot. Well The car is finally done after going though a mess of problems with West Colonial Chevrolet. I would not recommend them to any one just because of the crappy work and horrible customer service. I took it there on a tuesday and they could get me right in and I was perfectly happy with that. The problems did not arise untill after the car was so called completed. As you will see below the cappyness of the repair on the hood and and the lack of following up since I had to tightend all the bolts after finding many loose when it was home and in a sutible place too inspect. After looking Around I found dirt specs in the paint, horrible orange peel, loose bolts, some parts not replaced like the should have, and the licence plate cover not painted too match.

After being disatisfied, the insurance company allowed me to take it to another body shop where it was fixd correctly. Jeff Anderson Auto Body, and at his place I have no complaints and he did it perfectly with no issues. The workmans ship is flawless as the other had a ton.

The Damage.

The Bad fix. As you can see they took a D. A. sander to the edge of the hood and took a little too much material off.

The correction.

Excellent!

Bummer about all the hassle, but it looks like it was worth it in the end. That second shop certainly takes a lot more pride in their work.

Tell ya what -- that's a straight-up insurance company and one more warning about going to dealers for anything on these cars. Thanks for the report.

I thought the first fix looked decent, but not the best like your second fix.

I thought the car should have been fixed to its original condition. So did the insurance company. The first fix wasn't bad but it wasn't good and I would have let it go if the dealer wasn't a complete azz.

I don't know, haven't really thought about it. If I do I should probably get the registration info.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that nose looks familiar - did you happen to buy your car from JetJock here on the forum?

It is jet jocks old vette but I bought it from HnH the day after he traded it in on his current c5.

Well that's great - I know Lani will be proud of you (and his old car.)

Looks like she's in good hands.
