C4/Car Ramps???
Found myself in Walmart the other day (I try not to let that happen too much) and saw these plastic car ramps in the auto section for about $35.
PLASTIC CAR RAMPS???!!!
Does anyone have any experience with these?
Does the front air deflector clear the ramp on the way up?
Will they collaps when I get under the car? (If I get crushed, no big deal but the car might get damaged which would be tragic.)

I bought a set of plastic ramps for my vette years ago and they have worked out better than the old, stamped steel ramps that they replaced. I got them from PepBoys and they are branded "Rhino Ramps". They were ~$30 on sale, if I remember correctly. They are wider than my steel ramps and do not have a side lip (which is a plus for the 275's), but do have a nice front lip (I drove a car off the front of steel ramps that had a very small front lip). The front spoiler hits a little bit at the botttom of the ramp, but it's not too bad and I've gone up and down them many, many times without any damage to the spoiler.

I have the Rhino ramps (purchased from Wal Mart), and use them all the time. Look at the sticker on them, the weight rating will be listed. Stay within that weight and you'll be fine. Same goes for steel ramps or steel jack stands.
As for the air deflector clearing, what you need is a short piece of 2x6. Place in front of the ramp, and when your front tires roll up on that they will be high enough to allow the air deflector to clear the ramps.

with all of the above. I have the plastic Rhino Ramps as well. They work fine, just be sure to check what the weight rating is for the ramps. A piece of wood placed in front will resolve the front spoiler issue.

They do work well but only give you about 6 to 8 inches of lift if I remember correctly. The 2x10 gives you a little extra "belly" room if you enjoy donuts like I do!

I have them... but I got the ones rated for SUVs for a little extra "peace of mind." Haven't used them on the Vette though. It's just too damn easy to just jack the car up.

Holy Krap!!!
I'll give these a try. They seem to have good stops on them.

They're good for getting under the front of the car but it still tight on the sides and back.

I have four of the Rhino Ramps. I drive up on the front two, lift the back with the Gadgetman adapter, and set the rear tires on the other two ramps. It gives me enough room to get under any part of the car. I feel that it is much safer than jack stands. Face the ramps together so that the car cannot roll.

I have the rhino ramp 12,000's and they work great.
I just put a patio sidewalk brick in front of each and the front clears nicely. Got mine on sale for 25 bucks.

Ive been using Rhino Ramps for YEARS on all my cars... never had any issues with them. If you garage floor is slick, they might slide when pulling up on them, but if on the rough driveway, no issues at all.
