For those requesting before/after pics...Here's some from the very first fitment/fabricating process...and yes, hood is fully functional

Thanks again for the comments...good and bad

I sure would like to know what are the dimensions of the L88 scoop ? They make the L88 scoop in diffeent sizes and this looks like a nice winter project.

Nice. Very tastefully done. No big wings or ground effects.

i still dislike it, even though there's no kit-crap on it. i don't like the idea of mixing corvette eras like that. it looks like it belongs on the planet pluto.

First, it is Collector Edition, not Collector's Edition.

You just destroyed the value of the car. IMHO!

WOW, that is a way nice ride....hood? meh, not sure.....the car though is f'n sweet! Paint motif is pretty cool...1st time I've seen one like that.

edit: OK, after seeing the new/other pics posted, I'm NOT liking it. Although it hardly looks cheap/ricer, something about it (the hood) just looks WRONG to me.

it gets an A for effort.

it gets an F for a terrific lack of judgement and sense.

now we've got yet another C4 that's in the books as ruined.

I've always wondered what an L88 scoop would look like on a C4. And I have to say, when I saw the subject, I was prepared to like it. But I don't. The scoop really doesn't go with the lines of the C4. It looks awesome on C3s. And I've seen it on second gen Camaros, and it looks good. Mostly because the shape of the front of the scoop matches the shape of the front of the car. But it just doesn't work on a C4. The center ridge is completely backward from the factory hood, with the indent down the center. And the shape of the front of the scoop doesn't match the car.
It's too bad. The work is top notch. I'm just not feelin' it.

I think I like it! Not sure if I would do it, but I like to see something different. And I really like the color scheme, although I may be a bit biased;

I think it looks killer! Black out treatment in back reminds me of the Baldwin-Motion Vettes. Looks mean.

I think it looks great in these pics, and that it probably looks awesome in person.
