C4 vs C5 people and cars

A person is a person, regardless of what they drive-I don't get a different attitude in a different car, and I also own both gens, as well as a Harley, etc...but we won't even get into that!

I have found that most vette owners are good. Yeah theres a few bad apples. But I have never seen so much seperation of vette owners as well. In my book a vette is a vette regardless of year, modes, etc
. IMO the only group out there that really isn't divided as much is the Harley Davidson crowd. Ever since I got mine nobody cares about year and they all wave!!

That's what you get for hanging around forums (when you should be doing your English homework).
Seriously, get out and go on some runs with other Corvettes. Do some GTG's at their houses. Participate in Wrench Days with them. Do a Dyno Day as a group.
I've done all that and found that there is NO difference, by and large, between C4, C5, and C6 owners. (Or, C3, 2, and 1, for that matter.)
They are all the most caring, down-to-earth folks imaginable.
I haven't met an azzhat yet. They are all great, great people.
Some people come off as jerks on forums.
I'm a prime example.

Yeah right. The C5 owners are jealous of the C6 guys, and the C4 guys are always overdriving to overcompensate for their slower car, then saying "I could have one of those but I don't want the payment". I figured Larry was a hateful guy that was always biting his lip in public. You can just see it burning in his eyes every time a C6 passes him.

ZO6 superior to what?
Someone will always have something better/nicer.
I have a 4X4. (I'm not a redneck, am I?)
And a Motorcycle too. (Not a wife beater either)
3 kids (2 grandkids - hopefully more to come, at least I think I did something right along the way)
Many cats. 2 Birds. And a dog.
So What.

i think the divided sections of the forum help contribute to some of the backlash that goes on between the generations. but i don't have a solution, so im part of the problem..... personally, i love all Corvettes

I've never had an issue with C5 owners. The ones I've met are all great people. I always get waves from C5 drivers. To stereotype a group of people by the generation of cars they drive doesn't make any sense.

Dangit, if we can't stereotype them how else are we supposed to be prejudiced against them. Sign me up for the hate everything club. Personally I'm a fan of sitting on the front porch and shaking my fist at everyone who passes by.
