Default Most poorly designed object on C4!

I cannot stand the "hooks" that hold the rear cargo cover in place. It just does not work. I saw that Ecklers sells something that holds the cover in place. Does this work? Anyone have one of these?

I'm not a big fan of the center console door. but Ecklers sells a replacement part for that also. Hey, I'm starting to see a pttern here.

The rear hatch, why did they not put in a small drain. Opti Spark, should have been bolted on the radiator for better contact with water. New dash, 92-96. Why not have the mileage show when you select one of the gauges.

Those clips work well.

For my money, the Bose (BLOSE?) really suxs the big one.

I think I got mine from Corvette Central and they work great. 100% improvement over the stock ones. Before I replaced them the shade would slip down under the brackets and start to roll back up.

I have a1988 L98 car.

Pretty trouble free car.

I guess the tail light bulb replacement has me scratching my head as to .......why, why, why did they do that?

Digital dash I've had more trouble with that than anything else.

Default C4 peeves

I'd have to agree with the Delco-Bose audio sytem.....the radio in my 93 tempo sounded better!

A way to get water out of the rear window weather strip channel would have been nice also. That water gets all over the 1/4's everytime you close the hatch or the doors after washing the car!

One sore point confined to the LT5's is the stinking cooling system GM punked out on.....our radiators are by-passed after about 5500 rpm....I guess that's one way to keep the crusing speed down!

I'm with you on that. The Blose systems in the C4 is the absolute worst stock system I have ever owned. I'm glad its gone (the blose, not the car)

The bulb is a piece of cake, try changing the lens. Unless your arms are like pretels dont attempt the rear licence plate method . Took me two hours and a lost scoket and extension to change two screws. It has to be one of the challenges of C4 repair.

The turn signal stalk on my '96. I mean c'mon, can they fit anymore **** on there? Turn signal/s, cruise control w/ all the associated gizmos, wipers w/ "all the associated gizmos", high beams etc... There's probably more but I can't think of them right now. IMO, too much "stuff" in one spot.

I would have to say the tall frame rails that you have to physicly lift your foot up and over everytime you get in and out of the car. I can't imagine for a older person trying to make this a daily driver. What was GM thinking???? I realize that their budget got cut early in the developement stages, but what the heck! Oh well, I bought one anyways.

I found some felt like tabs with adhesive backing to put under the rod on both sides. i think their intended use is for the bottom of vases, ashtrays, etc., so as not to scratch wood...but they work great holding the cover ends up into the p.o.s. hooks............

Yes. For 2 years I put up with the original hooks and with the cargo shade working its way out of them, annoying me to no end. Everybody here kept on saying get the redesigned hooks, I kept saying , yeah, yeah, i'll get around to it (Basically, I didn't want to shell out $20, it just seemed to me like a lot of money for a very stupid, miniscule thing.) Well, I finally decided to buy the new hooks a few months ago, and it turns out it was one of the best purchases I've ever made. Those hooks are definitely worth $20 to get them to your front door. Highly recommended!
