Sorry, for your bad luck, but, it seems like somebody else I was talking to on line said the same thing about them

Every one seems to love PeteK's tranny work...Look up threads on rebuilt tranny.
Hate to hear of others getting the shaft like that.

If Pete's got the time he can build you a trans that is top notch, whether you want a dragstrip monster or just a spirited street trans. Shoot him a PM or wait and he'll prolly post here eventually. Definitely top notch work.

BTW, it sounds like you've got a case going for small-claims court or something if you can substantiate your claims that they didn't rebuild it when they said they would. And if your family members are looking for vettes you can find some fantastic deals here in the classifieds from members who are honest and cars that are well cared-for.

I agree, but it is often hard to prove. There are so many parts in a trans that may or may not need changing to qualify as rebuilt. Every builder has his own ways. Also, trans guys stick together. You will always have a hard time pulling info out of a trans builder. Especially if his words or statements may be used against another builder.
It is always wise to hang on to a good trans builder. They are far and few in between.

Just a thought, but BBB.com might help you out a bit. If you have a business posted on their site, they are contacted and let known that they have been posted and why. Which, in my opinion, would be grounds for my business to make right what I did wrong. Good Luck, and trust me, you arent the only one getting screwed, but thats a whole other story...

$400 for a trans rebuild and it lasted a few months? Sounded like you got what you paid for?

Is this some sort of vette broker? I would never buy from a 3rd party, previous owner only. And only if they don't have a mullet.

I think he was saying that the $400 was his 1/2 of the rebuild fee.

Have Pete build you a trans, and as far as being out of beer if you would quit whining about the drive to Cleveland you would have all the beer you could drink. I would have a cammed LT1, everyone would be happy

I know every person there and they know me very well too, except buying parts from them i dont deal with them, no service at all, cars are really high priced, extremely high priced. Iam 4 miles from them.

If u r michael pardon me, pete k met this guy, he bought a 96 vette 65k auto all stock red color and he paid 16.5 plus taxes.

The kind of treatment you got makes one wonder what these scumbags rest of their lives are like. It cannot be pretty. I am a firm believer every dog has his day in the sun.
