Advice/Help on transportation Companies
I'm so close to pulling the trigger on a Vette in California, I'm in Kentucky. Any advice or prior knowledge of any good transportation companies????

I always use Dependable Auto Shippers. I am not sure what their website is but if you type in their name they come up. I have shipped about 15 cars with them and no problems.

Had a car shipped by Passport Transport awhile back. They're now part of FedEx, and still very good from everything that I've read here and on other forums.

Fed-Ex custom critical. They were cheap, reliable and pretty fast. Customer service was excellent and prices are different for enclosed or non-enclosed trailer. Had my 71 shipped from Chicago

If it were me, I'd drive it home. Its as much fun as you can have with your clothes on.
My one and only car shipping experience (Florida to Oregon) took a week and cost $1100.
Fly out and drive it home.

I just used the cheapest guy, forgot who it was.
Cost was $750 from Ca to Taylorsville.
Got a girl that lives in Rineyville.
Back behind the BP.
When it warms up you just might see the red 91 vert out that way.
She will use the car for awhile, then the other girl in Bardstown gets it for awhile.
Maybe you seen it last year, mostly during the spring.

DAS is quoting me $481 for open trailer, no insurance, they also gave me some other prices for this and that, still cheaper then all the other ones.
I know the BP you are talking about. I don't recall seeing the car, but I hope to soon. Do you live in Rineyville too.

It cost me 750, so less than 500 is a great deal, just be patient though.
I live in Taylorsville,
one girl lives in Rineyville,
and one girl lives in Bardstown.
After I change the radiator,
the 91 will pobably be in Rineyville April May and June then end up in Bardstown July August and September.

Nice car, I missed your location in the previous thread. I'm just banging my head wondering which way to go, open/closed trailer. Insurance/no insurance. I'm calling State Farm and asking them what they say about the insurance part before i decide.

I can't say who is good....but I can tell you who to stay away from. Fast Track Auto Transport out of Murfreesboro, TN and McNutt Auto Transport Lowry City Missouri.
When I bought mine I contracted with McNutt Transport, then they turned around and subcontracted Fast Track Auto Transport (which I didn't know about). They told me 5 days, after 5 days and still no car I call McNutt and they say they haven't heard a word and don't know anything. Finally I get the lowdown how they subbed out the contract, but I can't get hold of Fast Track at all. Tried to leave message, message box is full. Finally I get them and they say he's in KC and will be in my town that day. No show and I can't get hold off them again for two more days. Long story short here...I finally got the car 9 days after pick up. She's fine (beautiful actually) and now I am happy. But the worst nine days of my life.

Thanks for the help, DAS has a GPS tracker system which I like, just for that kind of situation. Man I would have been pissed Thank God it arrived in such good shape.
Is the insurance they sell worth it?
