Default 13" drilled & slotted rotors Where to buy... Help!!!

Does anyone know where to purchase drilled/slotted 13" rotors at a reasonable price? My new Chrome Y2K wheels, SS brake lines, GS Calipers and Ceramix pads are sitting in my garage waiting for the "backordered" right side powdercoated GS rotors to come in from 18carfan. I dont think I can wait any more to install this project!!!!!
I know he will send the uncoated rotors if I want them but I really would like the drilled/slotted look under those wheels and calipers. Does anyone have a source for these at a good price?
Please let me know ASAPas I am getting crazy to do this!!!

Why not get the 13" stock rotors and paint the center color of your choice? Instant GS rotors, and you will save money as well.

The rotor has a coating on it but it certainly is not powder coated. The calipers are powder coated, but the rotos just have a finish to keep them from rusting. They will still rust after while so it really makes no difference to wait or not. I coat mine anyway with the header coating from MAD that makes them look like aluminum.

i got mine from baer brakes for about $1k. four rotors cross/drilled slotted and zinc washed. 13" and stock size for the rear, new front calipers and stainless steel braided hose. i agree. it would look great and stops alot better than my old 12" stock brakes.

good luck

That is great news! He must have found some somewhere!!!
Were these GS rotors supposed to be powdercoated in the center or painted?
I thought powdercoated. Jeff is not in today (Friday 10/05) so I will call him Monday to verify.
I went to The Last Detail (Atlanta) today and saw the left side (They had no rights either) It looked like ordinary flat black paint to me.
Does anyone know for certain?

Thanks, Cerby

Cerby,

I got mine and they appear to be some sort of flat black coating. Can't quite call it "paint", but the overall quality of the finish is not that great. It's actually flaking in a few areas. I put them on anyway....I figured WTH?!? Since it's my daily driver, I really didn't have the luxury of refinishing them at this time.

Next time around I will buy the regular 13" rotors and paint them myself.

CaliforniaLT1, I have seen these rotors and I agree that the flat black coating must be only a high temp paint and not powdercoated. Do you remember if these were marketed as powder coated? If I cant find reasonable priced slotted an drilled Ill go with stock HD 13inch rotors and paint them myself. It is not a big deal. Their is zero difference between the stock and GS rotors except the black paint. :nonod:

I have used a set of the GS rotors for last 13,000 miles and they definitely aren't powder coated. I actually burned off a portion of the coating on some track events where the front calipers were failing(too hot).

I also have pictures of what they look like when new on my "home page".
