That's why they make hood pins.

I think carbon fiber interior pieces would be -a full dash, center console(possibly with a full 2din opening for dvd/nav units) The cupholder delete is a great idea but IMO the space where the cupholders are currently located could be a storage bin or a place for accessory switches. I'd also like to see the rear cargo 3pc trim and halo bar trim in CF. Custom hoods and body panels would also be great. A ram air hood or a high rise hood to clear a roots style supercharger, custom front bumper w. air intakes for brake ducting ect.

A webb address and/or pricing info would be appreciated.

I think interior plastic and halo plastic would look awsome in CF. CF parts are already available for C4s http://www.exoticmuscle.com/vette/ but no interior parts.

We forsee a high probability of running out of all carbon cloths. Supplies are so scarce that it is very likely anyone requiring carbon fiber cloth will need to convert to fiberglass or S2 fiberglass(s-glass) to continue manufacturing.

We will keep our website updated as availability changes, unfortunately these shortages
are far beyond any control either we or any other distributor has.
Thank you for your understanding.

Most Commonly Asked Question:
Q. When will you be getting in more of this cloth?
A. Unfortunately we do not know. The weavers of the cloth are unable to secure the raw carbon tow used to make the cloths due to high aerospace and defense demands as well as scattered stockpiling by end users of material which makes the shortage even more severe

Ouch. The response when I got when i put in my carbon fiber material order. For now the increased material pricing in my opinion make the parts to expensive as im wanting to offer them as close to stock part prices as possible. On the positive side it gives me a little bit longer to make superior molds for a better product. I will definitley keep everyone updated on the situation.
World wide shortage it`s readily availible in Germany in plain, pre impregnated, with or without kevlar weave,& i`ve no reason to believe
there is any kind of shortage in England either if you get that stuck PM me and i`ll send you some phone numbers.

Regards,

Eddie

Interesting.
This came up on the various boat building forums I frequent.
I'll have to call my friend and see how his 40ft carbon fiber mast is coming along.

I have an episode of "how it's made" recorded, I think it is on the science channel.

They showed how CF boat masts were made, they also did a CF Cello.

The one thing I noticed, all the CF stuff comes out looking grey. With the Cello they sanded the whole thing to where it looked white, then the put some sort of clear coat over it. only then did it have that cool 3D CF look.

I remmeber the boat mast looking flat grey when they took it out of the oven. They called the oven something other then an oven. I dont remember the word, I would have to go back and look but I was thinking pressure cooker?
but they vacuum bagged the mast. I dont know if pressure cooking it with a vacuum bag over it would really do anything.
