i agree with it too.
an officer can employ DISCRETION and not ticket anyone who "violates" that silly little law. if an officer chooses to do so, then that's a reflection on that officer, IMHO. they should be more concerned with real criminals and violators, not issuing certain ***** tickets.
and no matter what the argument is, the front license plate ticket is a ***** ticket, period. if i was an officer i guess my chief would fire me because i would never issue non-moving violation oriented ***** tickets like this one.

Not enforced out here until Red Light cameras came into vogue and now it's an easy (10 Buck) ticket. Imagine you might face the same. Frankly, any plate it old tech and could easily be replaced with an electronic device that any cop/DMV could tune into to verify status; renewal, etc. Would rather see a petition to eliminate them altogether.

If I lived in Maryland, I'd be all over that. Maybe if someone has a PO Box i could use out there? Out here its a $10 ticket. Its a beautiful cycle out here (much like a pyramid scheme.) We all pay out on stupid tickets so more cops are hired and they in turn issue more stupid tickets (all the while talking on their G** D**** CELL PHONES!!!)

The Prisons could run out of qualified people to run the presses that stamp the plates. (That's the response our State political candidates are pushing - issue only one plate for the same/current registration fee-
save money on the handling/mail/prison labor fees)
