Default 188,305 miles and I still love this thing.

Sure some of the interior is in need of replacement, the targa, headlight buckets, rockers need repainting, it has a collapsed lifter, and a dying fuel pump... but its still damn fun. It turns 20 years old this October.

Having only had "my" vette for about a month now , I only hope I will feel as positive as you a few years down the road. All signs so far sure look positve though!

mine is an 86 as well, but only has 85,000 miles on it. I hope mine looks half as good as yours when it gets 188,000 miles on it. Yours, looks great!

Great job!

My '88 has 75K on it - now you've got me feeling optimistic that with proper care and feeding I can see another 100K out of her!

I haven't even gotten to the track once yet this year. I've got too many other important things in life going on right now to deal with before getting back there. I think I went once last year. It sucks, but hey thats life. I'm buying a house next month that cuts the drive to the track from 90 miles to 45, so maybe I'll get up there more!

will the new house have a garage space? I assume it's closer to work, too?

Any word on the job stuff???

Thats great Scorp. Car looks really good too. It's truely unbelieveable how good these motors are! The interior is another story.

I've had mine since 1998. 146K

It's a love-hate relationship. It has so many things wrong with it and so many things right.

My wife is always like this but I sweetly remind her "I've had this car longer than I had you. You knew what you were getting into when you signed up with me"

Yes on both! The commute to work is going from 40 miles to 8.5 miles. Fourty miles isn't much, but the highways it is on makes it nearly 2.5 hours some days one way.

Any word on the job stuff???
Should be starting the new one mid-sept.
