Default how to fix sagging targa carpet

Ive got a solid targa top, which has rarely been used. But when i started to use it, the carpet quickly began to droop and is annoying because it always touches my head.

with the summer heat, i need the solid targa to keep the temps down, how can i fix the carpet so i doesnt sag so much?

I use black thumb tacks in a criss-cross pattern.

You might try 3M super trim adhesive. The regular strength one won't hold the headliner. Usually though, what happens is the foam backing starts to disinigrate behind the headliner material causing it to delaminate (come apart and than sag.) The only fix for that is trip to the upholstery shop and buy new material for about $25 and super trim adhesive for $20. It's actually pretty easy to do, the hard part being getting the old backing off.
