Depends on what your looking for and what your attracted to. Most will tell you to buy the latest model overall.... that may be true depending on what it is your looking for in a Vette. I always wanted an 86-87 Black Vette....don't ask me why....just was hell bent on owning one since I laid eyes on the new body style back in 84. I could afford a 94 or 96 ...maybe some time down the road...but for now I'm enjoying my 87...and will be satisfied that I found and bought what I really wanted. Now I plan on keeping her...regardless if I buy a later model C5 or C7 down the road...my 87 will be my gift to my 1 yr old son Vince...if he's a good boy and does his homework!!!

I prefer the 90. (wonder why? ). I really like the nose of the early year C4s, and the interior of the newer. The only thing I'd change in mine would be a later year rear bumper.

I know, I could just get a 90 ZR1, but then I'd have to figure out how to live in it.

The early C4's rear bumper, round tail light design to me was the "essence" of Corvette. That and the wheel design from 84-87 is what I was attracted to...among other things of course!!

Suggestion: since all the responses are going to be all over the place, why don't you tell us a little bit more about what YOU'RE looking for? maybe a little about yourself, your driving style, keeping a car stock or modding it, vert or coupe, manual, auto trans, etc.

oh, and fill out your profile a bit more, such as a first name, city, state, car you presently have, etc. makes it a little more personal.

I would say a range of 92-96. I wanted a LT-1. I think it is more about condition, and not year. If you look for a range of years, then next overall condition, you should have some luck!

I wanna say '91 because of the updated C4 body style and the last year of the L98 in Vettes. I also love SOTP performance and Gen1 SBC compatibility.

88 4+3, They're cheap, easy to work on, and fun to drive. The color has to be black in order for the car to run right

Well, I could not pass up the chance to post a pic of my 1990 Charcoal Six-Speed. I like the 1990 because I like the nose and the rear bumper better. I know I will catch some heck for that, most seem to prefer the 90 ZR-1 or 1991 and up rear ends, but I really like the earlier rear end. We cant wait to see what you get!!
