* Heater core for sure! It didn't take me 7 hours but those 3 hours that I've spent felt like 17 hours.
I got soaked with sweat, bloodied/scratched arms and knuckles, part everywhere, sore neck, etc...
This car is definitely built AROUND the heater core!

The hardest thing may be coming up soon. That is downing the car to pull a perfectly good engine out and put in a better one! I hate when my car's apart. But it always goes back together better.
That Hooters girl in your new avatar..... just dayum!

I'm in the middle of the hardest project right now...replacing the starter!!! Everything was smooth till I got to the short bolt, apperantly you need to yank out the passenger side Cat, just to reach one bolt ...so I soaked the 13 year old rusted up bolts with WD-40, hopefully they won't snap when I attach that bastard again tomarrow.
Pulling the radiator for cleaning, replacing the plugs and wires, replacing coolant temp sensor, and installing the R-D racing camber brace all sucked, but this starter has me really frustrated, especially with such a nice day out, and I spent it crawling around on the cold floor with a bloody knuckle...I need a beer or 6

Melting Slicks
I think that working on anything under the dash is a real pain...literally. Trying to get contorted to see anything up under there is messed up. Then trying to move your arms or grab a tool you can't see or feel that's inches from your head. I'm already cussing just thinking about it. What's worse is trying to get out without banging your head, or twisting your back. Take the top off, at least you got a place to stick your leg up.

Difficult jobs on 1990 convertable
With out a doubt the heater core is the worst. So many screws, nuts and bolts. I removed the whole dash cover, lower panels and air conditioner ducts and then layed in the seat upside down to work. Having a convertable helps with this method. Then the half shaft u-joints. This was a lot of jacking & lowering. You will have to press out the old joints and press in the new caps. Scribe each shaft to put them in the origional location. You will need a special grease gun adapter to regrease the fittings. It looks like a dentist tool. The next hard job was removing the radiator and reinstalling. The cowl and hoses removal requires you climb under and over the top 40 times to get to all of the screws. The timing gear, waterpump & harmonic balancer was pretty difficult. I had a GM mechanic to aid on this job and he had a few tools to make life easier. Replacing the plugs and removing the intake to cure a oil leak and new injectors was a piece of cake compared to these jobs. Before you tackle any of these jobs get yourself a good set of extentions for your socket sets in all sizes, a good flash light. The next project is changing the carpet. Anyone have any tips on this?

Reminds me of a forum member here who installed his transmission alone by hand with no jack.
