'89 Callaway TT, how much is it worth.
My cousin's neighbor has an '89 Callaway TT roadster that he wants to sell. 11,500 original miles. Doesn't have the aero package. He wants 30k for it. Good deal? Good car?

Great car, and probably cheap for a TT car. Just my .02.

A local dealer here has the same car with the body kit and is asking $44,900.

I drove that car last Fall...Red on Red w/ white top 6 spd. car # 69... It is also scheduled to be auctioned at Carlisle... That is "supposedly" the 3rd time (at least) that that dealer has had that car... It should also be noted that it is a Callaway Conversion car and is NOT coded w/ option B2K Very nice car still...had just over 9k on it when we drove it :D

It's probably priced about right if it's in excellent shape. (Assuming it's a conversion and NOT a B2K car.) B2K should probably be a bit more.

I assume B2K was the dealer ordered option, which this car is. I've verified this via the VIN number with Callaway. So, from what's been posted, this is probably a good deal. Now, are there things I need to know about the car? I'm going to have a mechanic look the car over. What are the areas of concern for this model year? Also, I don't like the body style. Are there places that make add-ons for the car? Also, where is the best place to get suspension work? I live in Northern California. How does the car compare to a '90 or '91 ZR1? How about a C5? I know the C5 is more refined, but performance wise? Finally, does anyone know of web sites dedicated to the Callaway besides Callaway? I know I've asked lots of questions, but I don't purchase cars that often.
Thanks.

What does the Body Kit look like? Where can I see pictures?
A local dealer here has the same car with the body kit and is asking $44,900.

90 Callaway...The one I drove last Fall was a nice car but you are right, being a conversion car (It did not say B2K in the center console door of armrest) it would be worth less money than a B2K car w/ all it's paperwork-that one had none(from what the fella said). Another interesting note, car#69 had OZ wheels instead of the correct DYMAG's. Needless to say, I passed on the car even after speaking w/ Reeves on it...The non B2K and OZ's... And I could've had it for less.

>SoldtheBMR.....That is a very good price on the car IF....It IS a B2K car and has DYMAGS. You can get the Callaway Aerobody ONLY from them http://www.callawaycars.com and runs about 7000 bux not painted.
What are the details on it? Colors? Callaway car #? (there were 69 twin Turbo's built in 1989)
How does it compare w/ a ZR1????It will out perform a ZR1 in all aspects of performance :jester 89 was a VERY good year for Vettes....(IMO) However, being a convertible there are some options that you could not get that were avail. on the 89 coupes...
Hope this helps....Later *89x2*

Nat96LT4,
I am in Pottsville and about 30 miles from Stoudts. Jay Allen Stoudt and I are best friends and if you want to see the Grand Sport it will be at Carlisle. I sold him that car and I bought it up in your neck of the woods in the town of Jessup. :chevy :chevy :chevy :chevy
