How many Drive your Vette after you wash it?
I know i'm gonna screw this up, but here goes. :D
I noticed alot of water builds up in the fron nose of the C4,
and i'm sure a few other places. I for one, drive my car right after i wash it so
the water doesn't build up in the "little places we can't see" and
promote rust. I wonder how many other's of you are *nal about it like me.

Well, since I live in an apartment and they frown on us washing our cars in the parking lot, I HAVE to drive the car before and after I wash it at the car wash.

I tried the compressed air thing to get the water out of the cracks on my car but what I learned (the hard way) is to drive the car around the block so as to dry up the brakes & exhaust. I got my car washed up and detailed it in my driveway once & parked the car. The next weekend I decided to go for a drive & found out my parking brake had rusted in place. I was able to break it loose but had to get a new parking brake cable ($$$$).
So a quick spin around the block after washing to dry off the brakes & exhaust is mandatory for me.

After I wash my car, I dry it then put the cover back on put it away. I don't drive afterwards at all.

I wash mine and pull it it the garage. Let it sit for a couple of hours then I put the car cover on it.

i do a couple of pulls down the drive way and back to get the brakes dry and such.. it is only a 100 feet or so.. I also let do the air compressor thing.. to get the water out of the hatch area groove...
then the cover goes on a couple of hours later

For me, driving the car while wet tends to suck dust, etc. (from the vortek created at the rear) all over the back half of the car (especially the tail light sockets). I like to use compressed air to blow out the water from the seams and around the hatch area. Works great! Then I let her sit for about 1-2 hours before I go anywhere. Water spots are not kind to Black.......

1) Wash
2) Dry (Thoroughly)
3) Drive (At least once around the neighborhood) A. To show it off. B. 'Cause I always heard it's not great for the engine to just fire up for a few seconds (hence putting it back in the garage) C. Because I wanna!!!

Not only that, but if you use the blower long enough it will dry the exterior of the car without using a cloth. If you just give it a once over with the blower, you can then dry the entire car with one towel

I usually use the following
Water blade to remove large puddles of water and dry glass
Leaf blower to get the remining water and inside cracks
Go over it with a towel
I usually use the leaf blower while my girl follows behind me with a towel

I always like to drive mine after I wash it and dry it because that's when it looks the cleanest. Also after I wash mine the next day it rains so I at least want to get a day in of it looking clean before it gets dirty again.
