The back of my seats
Behind the headrests of my '94 there is a kind of hole. I assume there is some sort of metal piece that fits in there, but they are missing. Can anyone enlighten me as to what they are and where to get replacements. If I can get these only from GM, does anyone have a part number?
Thanks!

I've got the standard seats in my '95, and all that is there in that spot is a release lever for the seat back. If thats the piece your referring to, I'll bet you can find them at mid america corvette or a host of other suppliers.

Would it be this "bezel"? There is no picture.

When you get your seat back bezels be careful not to overtighten them. That is usually what breaks them in the first place.

It ain't even 85 cents worth....it's about 3 cents worth of plastic.
What you are paying for is the tooling/mold.
...and $12 shipping??!!! You could send it in a first class envelope for $.37.

Very nice. I wish I had the tools to do that. I received the parts from the vender and even though the cost was ridiculous, they did FedEx it and it was here in one or two days. Again, the cost for the item was a ripoff, but the backs of my seats look a whole lot better!

Good for you Torch Red. Those look quite nice. Since the metal is a great deal stronger, and hence sharper than the plastic, you might take it one step further and try to figure a way to limit the pressure the bezel puts on the fabric so it does not tear your seats. My pass. seat bezel has been gone since I bought the car, and the thing that has kept me from making one and applying it has been just that concern. You guys have heightened my curiosity now. I will take a closer look at it.

I put some nylon spacers between the metal seat frame and the plastic latch mechanism; this moved the new bezel aft about 1/2 “ in relation to the fabric. Was a real PITA to put together. Had to get longer screws
