Default what's the craziest body kit/coversion i can do to an '84?

title says it all...i wanna find the coolest or most radical mod i can do to my '84.
my vette has had the '94 body upgrade done to it years ago(before i got it), but whoever put it on did a horrible job. there are huge ugly cracks starting to run down it, the paint is flaking off in big chunks, and i would like to redo it. but i figure if i'm gonna tear it down, why not do something cool with it?

i've seen the C5 upgrade and the stalker body kit and all the common ones, but i want to know if anybody has seen any really cool ones. i recall seeing a viper body made to fit a C4, but i can't find any more info on that.
so, tell me of--or even better, show some pics of the craziest body mods done to C4s.

The only body I would consider would be the Callaway Aerobody. I'm not crazy about any of the other ones. Although I personally wouldn't put it on a car that had stock performance. That would be like putting a 6cyl (non-turbo, hi-po, etc..) in a corvette.

the absolute best and only conversion would be to bring your '84 back to original. just about anything else is not cool and would be a mistake, imho.

Is there a way to get a C4 to look like a C3? That'd be pretty cool imo

no it wouldn't be cool. its what i refer to as "posing". obviously there's a whole lot of money burning thru the pockets of some folks. why waste this in the "looks" dept, unless its a sensible thing like a new paint job, nice wheels, or my favorite - repairing the damage done by silly body mods to return it to original stock.

take the $$$ that's sizzling everything up and PUT IT UNDER THE HOOD. the corvette is always at home with performance mods, not body kit stuff. show and no go just don't cut it in the corvette world.

when this subject comes up and some folks get all excited about the prospect of trashing their beloved car, its like smoke blowing out at high speed out both my ears with the sound of a foghorn going full blast in my head

to the original post, please take this opportunity to get back to the roots of the car, not like something else it isn't. now is a great time to score yourself a nice used '84-90 front & rear bumber assy and side gill panels. put your $$ into a nice tasteful paint job. be proud of your 84 (with the original 84-90 look), after all you should be

You could always remove the body completely and turn it into a street legal dune buggy. Just add a roll cage and knobby tires!

Default Rock Car

When I was in high school, one of my classmates older brothers took a Mazda RX-7 from the early 80's and made a race car out of it. He then covered the car in some kind of glue and dumped rocks all over it. They were all about the same color, and they were all about golf-ball size. The one drawback is that he said it added like 400 pounds to the weight of the car. That's not a suggestion, but it is the wildest thing I've ever seen done to a car of any type.

It sounds Like it's already been hacked up so why not have some fun with it and do what you want. something super crazy would be it would probably cost more to take to stock anyway.
I have a 87 bone stock and would not change anything even wheels.
but thats just me, and my car is already stock. If I had one that was hacked I think I would try and do something super cool also.
I would not make a copy of some other kinda car but something original-
one of a kind that made people go
MOST IMPORTANT: its your car have fun
just dont chop up a GOOD vette

for the corvette nothing should be done. for an rx-7, or any asian import, hauling off on the body doesn't matter for a hill of beans because they're worth nothing and mean nothing anyway. a corvette is tradition and the heart and soul of americana. leave the body alone and you'll feel much better -- later on -- for it. load up on performance and you'll feel just as good.

because it will be one less "ruined" corvette on the road, and the real fun is having one that's supposed to be the way it was to begin with

In reallity that vette probably will never see stock anyway
so he might as well have some fun with it.
I'm with you tho " i want it stock" or I dont want it
that goes for my vette, my truck, my wifes pontiac g6, and my 1944 ford 2n tractor,
the Harley's another story
