Default How far have you gone?

What is the longest distance you have driven in your C4? From where to where?
I'll start: Houston to my home near Grand Rapids, MI. 1,300 miles.

In March, I drove from Allentown Pa to Key West, FL. That was a great trip and the car did it with ease. 3225 miles round trip.

Some of those trips sound nice. Mine, the most I drove was from Orlando down the east coast of Florida, across Alligator Ally and back up I75 (on the west coast) and back to Orlando.

Two years ago --- Westfield,Mass. to Phoenix,AZ. and back. Car (1987 coupe) did fine with 102,000 on the odometer at the start of the trip. Totally stock engine with no mods other than a new Cloyes timing chain, valve guide seals, and injectors cleaned by Rich at Cruzin Performance. I had just turned 55 and wanted to prove to myself that I wasn't ready for the rocking chair on the porch yet. If I ever decide to do it again, I will avoid any "concrete" highways out west. The expansion joints really get on your nerves after awhile at 75 mph.

has mentioned how many gas stops they had to make or the approxi-
mate GAS BILL. YIKES!! before you reply.

Yeah, the gasoline bill was high, but it was worth it. BTW, I averaged 26 mpg for the trip.

When I drove to Key West, I was getting around 26-30 mpg in 6th. My gas bill was 260 bucks and I enjoyed every dollar of it

In June-July 2003 from Olympia, WA to Bowling Green, KY (I-80), and back home by way of Little Rock, AR to Las Vegas, Reno and home. 6300 miles in 11 driving days.

Don't recall the total gas bill but the entire trip average was 24.7 MPG

Just got back this last Monday from a trip to Bowling Green. Put on about 2200 miles, the ole girl averaged around 24mpg, not bad when you consider she had 101,000 miles when we started. I'd do it again tomorrow.

I drove from Savannah GA to Richmond VA, seven hours. She had 101,000 miles on her clock. I averaged 26 mpg. I don't know what the total gas bill was and I don't wanna know. (Oops! Honeymoon's over, gotta go relpace the passenger side window motor. Now I'm a real C4 owner!)

The wife person and I are planning to travel from Pinehurst NC to Victoria Texas in July, about 2500 miles round trip. We've got 62K on the car now. Ought to be an interesting trip. Will post about it. Next weekend we plan on a trip up to Pittsnburgh, about 1000 mile round trip.

Not very. Back and forth to LACR a couple times-Maybe 100 miles round trip. May take a long cruise up the coast tomorrow, see how that goes.
I had planned on having the 406 in and driving it to the CF cruise-in but it didn't happen. Maybe next year.

I picked up my C4 in Orlando, FL and drove it back to Texas where I was living. That was a 1,070 trip. Then I have gone to Bowling Green a couple of times. Once during the 50th Kick Off, then for the 50th Anniversary. That was a 1,434 round trip both times. It was a a great ride.

Every year one of the Vettes make the trip to Effingham IL from SE Okla. for the Funfest. That's about 600 miles one way.
