Selling my stock "Sport" Seats...
Do you guys think $200 is too much to ask for both seats? These are the optional "Sport" seats, with CORVETTE embroidered on them. A friend of mine offered me $200 for them, because he wants to put them in his 70 Chevelle (Corvette Themed).
I'm going to put the $200 towards a set of Corbeau Forza's ($440).
They're in great shape, only have one SMALL hole (dime sized) on the drivers side bolster (from getting in and out). All the power functions work, and the bladder pumps pump, but I think the bladders are torn.
Do you guys think I could/should get more??

The Corbeau seats that are $220 each are cloth and aren't really for daily drivers. The "good" Corbeau seats are about $400 each. You should easily get $300 - $400 for the pair of your sport seats.
Yes, I realize the brackets are extra, but if I can get $400 out of my seats, then $100 out of my pocket is no sweat for bad@$$ seats!

the sliders alone will run more than 200 bucks.
sport seats complete will bring an EASY 500 bucks.
put that as the buy it now price on ebay and i bet someone will ****** them up before the 1st day is done.
i have 1 of my sport seats that needs some motor work or something.,havent dug in yet,but i have been looking in ecklers and mad etc at the prices of parts for these seats and it aint cheap.
pop one of those bottoms off for example.the foam with no cover on it will cost ya close to a hundy.
another thing to think about,if you put aftermarket seats in your car and dont have the oem seats to go with it when you decide to sell you lose resale value.(you lose value in the fact that you will reduce your buyer base).i would just store them wrapped,at the very least until i tried the new seats out for a month or two to make sure i prefer the feel of them.
you cant judge a recliner by looking at it,you car seats no different.
edit:while diggin for another thread a sec ago i found out the bladders in those seats are 75 bucks for the back and 99 bucks for the seat bottom one in mid america motorworks catalog.
ouch, thats 350 bucks just for the bladders lol
rebuilt seat track is 199.00 with 100.00 core.
leather seat covers on foam for yours is 1,199.00
man,a guy might actually make out good parting out a set of seats on ebay lol

These guys are right - I shelled out good money for a set of Black (Standard) seats when doing my interior this winter. I GOT good $$ for my old seats - I won't tell you how much, because you'll realize you're giving them away!!

Yup - I wrote "I saw them sell".. They did go.. I don't know why, but the Sport seats(these were 95/96 style, if that matters) are like Gold out there.

Hey everyone, I just wanted to say that I put aftermarket seats in my car that recline and in doing so I had to take out the seatbelt because the bracket for the seat belt hits the handle on the reclining handle. As for the sliders, I used my factory seat sliders because I wanted to keep the power seat option. It works great, I just had to take the factory power sliders and weld a piece of 1/8" metal strips on them and drill some holes for the bolts. There was some minor modifications I had to do other than that but the fit and work great. Well just thought that I would throw that out there. Later

Sport Seats
I traded my recovered/rebuilt red leather 90 sport seats for $300 cash and a nice pair of 96 red leather seats last summer. I was very pleased. The 96 seats are way more comfortable that the sport seats.
I have a single Corbeau black kevlar (also reclines) seat in my closet with rails for a Corvette if you are interested. I used it a few times when I was racing at Bandimere. No wear at all., looks new ... very comfortable and really locks you in tight with a 5 point.

You had to have used the "shell" type aftermarket seat, because most reclining aftermarket seats are far too tall to fit in the car on top of the stock seat bases/sliders.
