Default West Palm Beach Area - Need help with Serpentine

Need to get a Serpentine Belt on my daily driver so I can use my car this week. Belt broke. I had an old belt but I think it is not the correct size because I have slack in it before I mess with the tensioner.

Does anybody have an extra serpentine (double sided) I was hoping to get this belt on tonight which I'm sure is wishful thinking.

I followed the diagram and I still have slack, does anybody know if the belts are different lengths from 92 to 93?

Anybody got a correct diagram of the routing of the belt?

I don't know if the length is different between 92 and 93 but there are two different style belts for 93, midyear they changed.

I can take a pic of my 1992 if that will help but I don't have a spare belt to help you out with

That would help out if you can show proper routing.

Thanks.

There should be a routing diagrm somewhere under the hood. I think they are on the side (driver's) of the fan shroud.

Somebody sent me a diagram but i still don't think i have it on right.
There appears to be more pulleys then the diagram shows.

Can somebody maybe on the west coast post some digital pictures of the routing on their actual car? I'm going to try to fix it in the morning.

Thanks.

Here is a diagram from a '94. Is it different from the diagram you have ?
Sorry I could not get a shot of the belt on the motor that showed all the pulleys, they are hidden and i could not get an angle that showed anything but the obvious. Maybe this will help.

Hey Jim,

I believe I have a spare belt that has never been used. I have no need for it since I converted to a 1-sided belt. Let me know if you need it.

I can't think what another pulley would be. I should be over the AC, over the ALT, under the PS, under the Tensioner, around the Crank, over the Idler, back to the AC, over the hill and through the woods all the way to Grandma's house.

I got lost on the way to Grandmas house and Now I can't get the F'ing thing off to make it right. I put it on the wrong side of the idler. When I pull on the tensioner with a wrench I can't seem to get any slack.

Damn, I need to get this fixed tonight. I did get a new belt from the dealership though before I read this thread

I appreciate it Mike
