Default aftermarket hood cutting Q's

I know some of you have cut your hoods supports for blower clearnece etc..

does it cause any issues?

I have been toying with my twin turbos, and I have plans to get a new hood for various mods I wanted to do. (body kit and air managment issues with twin turbos.)
when I last looked, it appeared as I would need to cut the hood supports to get clearnce for the twin turbos I wanted to run. I am wondering if this would cause some problems with the hood?

basically I am looking at cutting a section out from above each valve cover area. possible changing the forward section of the hood support sections to channel cool are to the turbos. Just some ideas I am throwing around. I need to know if my hood is going to crack though.

I am going to have to cut a small part of my hood to install my kit. Have not done it yet but I am not worried about structure problems.
