Complete conversion for a vortech to 8rib.

This kit includes the blower bracket(modified) and the harmonic balance(modified).

The bracket from vortech is 300, and the balancer new is 350, even used they go for 200+

ASP wants 6 weeks, so that’s 6 weeks with out a running car(b/c you have to send them your balancer/bracket) This way you get everything ready to go, and you can sell your old stuff(balancers are a hot commodity I found out).

So that’s $650 worth of stuff on top of the 750 ASP wants for there modification to 8 rib ..

You stated the balancer new is $350, What balancer is this. Vortechs price for the harmonic balancer is $767.00. If you can get it for $350 somewhere, let me know.

350 is for the factory piece. I then had it sent off to ASP to have a 8RIB conversion done (stock vortech kit is 6 rib, and total crap)

Most people don't understand why 8rib is required until they installed the kit and learn. 6rib is a joker Vortech/ATI both are POS

yup! hopefully I can save somebody the frusteration of finding out for themselves, not to mention the 6 weeks I had to wait for ASP to do this setup for me! if I was keeping my vette, I would be using it!!!

Why did it take them 6 weeks? I'm sending them my balancer to get an 8 rib sleeve pressed on and they say 2 weeks....I hope they're not bs'ing me, but I bet they are.

maybe if you are just doing the balancer, its not as long of a wait?

dunno.. but it was 6 weeks from the time I shipped my stuff, till the time I got it back.
