Vortech guys, is your oil black all the time?

I have changed my oil for the third time since the new motor and supercharger. Everytime I have noticed my oil to be super black, is this common with vortech superchargers?

I only have a total of 1000 miles or so on this motor so there is no reason why the oil should be this black. With my old NA 355 motor the oil was always clean even after a hard 3000 miles.

Is this supercharger related?

Also, what weight of oil is every running with their vortech?
